Mee-Hoon
Ingredients
1 packet rice noodles 300-400g beef or pork
Onion Teriyaki sauce
Oyster sauce Soy sauce
Beef stock Pepper
Ginger Sesame oil
Bean sprouts Bok Choy or Choy Sum
Instructions
Soak rice noodles in cold water until soft – then drain.
Wash bean sprouts and drain.
Wash Bok Choy and cut – separating the stems from the leaves.
Slice about ½ an onion. Finely slice some ginger.
Cut meat into edible pieces.
Cooking
Pre-heat oven to 75 degrees C.
Heat some sesame oil in a wok and then add the onion and ginger. You can add garlic too if you want.
Add half the meat, then add teriyaki sauce, oyster sauce and pepper. Fry until cooked.
Add ½ the bok choy stems and fry.
Add ½ the bok choy leaves and fry.
Add some beef stock (1 tsp).
Add ½ the rice noodles and fry. Add soy sauce and stir it well so the noodles look brown.
Add ½ the bean sprouts and fry – stirring well.
Put mee-hoon in a covered oven proof dish and keep warm in the other while you cook the other half of the ingredients.
