I am no Martha Stewart. And when it comes to interior decorating, my go to method is bright and happy. I've never liked a "mature" look with neutral colors and lux finishes. My interior design inspiration... Penny's Apartment from the Big Bang Theory! Every area of her house screams, life, playfulness, and uniqueness. It also screams... "I'm an ADD woman!" IMO :p

What do you think? Would you like a house like Penny's? What is your favorite color palette? What is your style? How do you have your home decorated?

I don't have any pics but mine is very cluttered and completely eclectic. Old buffet w/marble type top + ikea shelves etc...I just don't have time for this kind of thing!

I LOVE the episode of the big bang theory when they clean Penny's apartment.

LoL I love that episode too. I would let Sheldon Cooper clean my house any time he wanted too. I don't have much time to decorate either, but I aspire to. Decorating is expensive! I walk down the home supplies aisles in Target, and am shocked by the cost of pillows!

it's very disjointed... I'd love color of the above pix, but DH probably wouldn't ;)

It looks very cute, youthful and fun...but it SOOO isn't me. I LOVE the color turquoise. But I'd just do that color in touches here and there. I actually prefer very spare, minimalist spaces. I actually find Japanese-style homes very soothing (though my knees don't!) I'm a neat freak, strangely enough. Probably an overreaction to a family filled with packrats! Maybe I'm an anomoly, for having ADD...

I found that I get too conflicted on picking just one style so much so that I ended up outfitting my entire apartment with neutrals. BORING. I just can't commit to a theme and I get annoyed and give up lol

Oh, oh yes, for sure. My parents call our interior design "graduate student chic" but in reality, its "thriftstore+I lovealltherbrightcolors chic. :)

My former sewing room (soon to be the kids play room so there are not toys ALL OVER THE HOUSE as soon as I get my butt in gear, perhaps tomorrow?!) is magenta. This is what it looked like in its former glory (a rare moment of organization)

Its way more purple than the pictures make it seem. The pictures make it look pink. Its not pink. (if there's any color I loathe, its pink)
