Okay well growing up we had a cat...and she was okay. Her name was Alexandria...and then we had another cat...His name was Yuddi. However, since moving in with my friend three weeks ago, I've been REALLY aware of what it's like to live with and take care of animals....My friend has two big greyhounds....they are white with brown and black spots....Their names are Danielle and Sneakers. Whenever it thunders they get really scared and start barking......They are finally getting used to my being there. There is also a cat named Lucy. She is very cute...I don't mind when Lucy wants to sleep with me...but the dogs, no way. I must ask them to leave my room when it's time to sleep:)

We, my son and I have a canary, that has free range of the house, his name is Patches. He is adorable. We also were adopted by a very small yet just pregnant black kitty in late may, her 5 kittens are now about 6 weeks old and all black also. They are beautiful and big. They are outside cats because Patches makes the rules in my home.
Anyone want kittens? only 10 cents each, but free to ADDers!

The only animal right now I want to be is a human. Well I would be a mermaid, or an extra-terrestrial given the chance.
My favorite animals are Manatees and sponges. When I was 7 I learned a lot about Marine biology. Thats when I fell in love with the Manatee

Thanks for the offer of the kittens Janine but as for me, if I were to bring home any additional animals, my roommate/friend would have a fit! Does your canary sing?

yes, he sings like a bird.. oh he is a bird I forgot.
He makes all types of noises, sounds like the phone. He sings along with the music in the home.
He wants a girlfriend bad! He is a waterslager, a certain breed of canary. I just don't want clean up two crazy birds poopies.
But, I promised him one, he says he is not choosey as long as she is a waterslager too.

Girlfriend, huh? Well there is a singles ADD dating service starting soon. I guess it could be for animals too. If he has ADD, he qualifies. Let's see what we can do:)

I have three cats, which is amazing since I am allergic to cats, though over time I'm used to them. Guess I had to get over the allergies the hard way ;) Anywho, I have a part Maine-coon male cat, 20lbs. Henry is like having a dog, if you don't pet him, he headbutts you. He's a sweetie. Squeeker is a white cat wearing a gray jogging suit. She's a rescue (previous owner had 68 cats) the only problem with her is that she doesn't realize she's a cat. Never chases anything, hates cat food. Storm, my youngest female cat was found when she was 5 months old, hanging from her neck and tail during a thunderstorm. My son rescued him. And believe it or not, she was named after Storm from X-man (he had just seen the movie) not the weather.

I have a bird feeder out in my back yard and I have a grey and a black squirel that chase each other all over my lawn and then help themselves to all the sunflower seeds from my bird feeder.

They are cute to watch but I do wish they would pay for there meals and clean up after themselves. They have food fights and spread the bird seed and sunflower seed shells all over the lawn and havent once offered to do the dishes after there done pigging out.

Currently we have no pets, but.....
Growing up we had 2 black poodles, 2 bunnies and a parakeet.
From around 20 or so on, I had....

1 guinea pig (named Miss Piggy)
1 Parrot (Elliot)
2 Snakes (first one was a Florida Kingsnake named Dino, then I had a Ball Python named Lizzy.)

After getting married and moving in with hubby, I had the Parrot and the Python and had to choose just one to take because it was an apartment and not enough room for both. I chose the Parrot, big mistake, all he did was squak all the time and bug the neighbors, so we had to get rid of him. I wish I'd kept my Python, I'd still have her now. So after we bought a house we had....

5 ferrets (the girls-Polly, Toby, Jordan, and the boys-Bear and Warren, they have all died)
1 dog (Ellie-Olde English Bulldogge, we had to get rid of her because she started snapping at our son, we miss her a lot, getting rid of her was really hard)

Had lots of fish at various times, mostly fancy goldfish, they are my favorite.

Some day I plan on having another dog and another snake, but not until the kids are old enough to help take care of it....mostly I want to wait until they are old enough to take care of themselves! LOL I'd love to have a rat too, I've heard they make really great pets.

In case anyone wasn't sure, I LOVE ANIMALS, all animals, dogs and snakes are my favorites.

4 cats:
Samantha (female black & white medium hair -- 12 years old)
Luna (female black & some white short hair with 3 legs -- 11 years old)
Percy (male gray tabby -- 5 years old with no teeth {:gum disease})
Cinnamon (female calico -- ~18 or 19 years old)

We had to put our big Maine Coon mix, Toto to sleep 2 weeks ago tomorrow because of cancer. He was the alpha of the group. We miss him.

Maya, our dog (terrier/chihuahua mix) who thinks she's a cat (only weighs 6 lbs). Her pix:
