I check in on DoubleXScience every once in a while, but not recently. So missed this excellent article by Bethany Brookshire, SciCurious from Scientific American blogs, called Between neurohype and neuroskepticism ( It's a response to the backlash against neuroscience that has come not so much from the science itself, but from the overhyping of its findings, with information about figuring out the difference between the science and the speculation, and links to places that look at it critically and rationally.

It's a good read. She tells us all at the end, we really are all just neuro-interested people whose brains are our minds. Letís apply a little neuronuance when we use them.
