If I didn't have sewing I don't know what I would do. I escape into my sewing room and everything else gets pushed out of my mind.

Some of the things I have made lately:

Are these machine-made, hand-made or both? Excuse my ignorance. My future MIL is really into sewing and I wish I knew more about it. The PJs are wicked cute, btw.

I've not learned to be at one with my machine yet.......in six years time. Ha! My patience and the bobbin can't seem to hit it off. lol I have a huge bag of wool scraps I'd love to piece together as a hooded shawl..........one of these days. :)

I now have a small fleet of machines. I LOVE sewing machines! I have been sewing for 26 years now, and I still enjoy it. I sew nearly everyday, even if it's just for a few minutes.

Wool is lovely fabric to work with! Would make a wonderful shawl.

This is Thomas the Traveler, or Tommy for short. I take him to Project Linus meetings. He only weighs around 13 pounds! Light as a feather and sews like a champ. More fleur de lis in hubby's honor.

You are welcome!

When my husband was asking me about vintage sewing machines and why I loved them, I told him it was a collector's kind of thing, like some guys like to collect motorcycles. He totally GOT it!

And he totally surprised me with an awesome vintage machine for Christmas!

Sarah, I no longer sew for money! I take care of my grandson, way too stressful to meet deadlines while trying to take care of a pre-schooler.

Plus, I sewed because I had to for years, to pay for my girls competitive dance fees. It was intense.

I don't miss sewing for money at all!

That top quilt took me 120 hours of work. Can you imagine trying to figure out a price to charge for it?
