So the people I'm staying with...the guy is the "coach" of this team....And he asked me to help come up with ways of which this team can "learn." (PS - these children are not ADHD.)

Let me explain....

They read stuff out of a certain book, and have to place it to memory.

The team is a bunch of highschoolers.

Now, they know their stuff pretty well, but it needs to "get in their heads" a bit better.

He's already tried: different ways to learn verbally (kids write down the stuff several times over), make skits of the content, win small rewards etc...

Any other ideas?

(They might make it to nationals so he's really hoping they learn their stuff!)

Not a complete program, but an idea...

Different senses: by sight, by hearing, by touch (using creative methods or not). Listening to recordings of it, looking at it in different ways, umm.. touch... not sure, but they could come up with something perhaps...

Thank you all!!!
Any more???

Like, there's a question and answer - different ways to memorize that question and answer.

With a question and answer format, one of the most important things IMO is whether there is understanding involved, or simply rote memory.
