i got it at CNET downlad......hint hint lol..it's called

Whipped three up real quick. Don't know what you're really looking for, but it was an excuse to play with my graphics program, and if you have looked at my avatars over the course of time, you'll note that I take any excuse I can get. ;)

Backgrounds created in the GIMP 2(linux GIMP) fonts are unfortunately quite rubbish default windows xp pro fonts applied in ms paint,and i've not bothered installing my photoshop elements and arcsoft photo studio 5 software yet which would have snazzed up fonts.



For those with only ms paint for a graphics program,and would like to give this comp. a try,don't bother with photo shop et al trials,look to the open source community instead-

Just a suggestion but I would love to see a revolving sign backdropped by a picture of the world...

I think that's maybe going to irritate me if I have to look at movement every day, but I'm open to whatever comes up. Blinking html tags or animated gif avatars are not my favourite. You'll have to sell me on the idea with examples. I'd appreciate being challenged on this point at the least so please open up your imagination and go wild. Who am I to stifle the creative spirit?

I looked all over for one I saw my 15 year old daughter working on the otherday and can't find it. She has a habit of not saving files!!! %$&^&*&#%@@$###!@$!@!~~

It was a dark bronze book ended "D's" with and brighter and complementary metal grey "H" in between. I liked it but give who produced it I might not be an unbiased judge of quality on that one. If she still has it somewhere I can't see.

I saw this avatar the other day and thought it made a good symbol for how I feel about this place. I like that it's child like in it's simplicity.

It was our logo, prior to the last upgrade to the forums.

I changed the colors to look better. But I like the design. Sort of reminds me of a business logo {{{{{shudder}}}}}}:D

I think all the submissions people have made (both in this thread, and to me via e-mail) show a tremendous amount of creativity on the part of our members.

I like the idea that Rhapsodyinblue has designed, around the Earth. Perhaps we could integrate a globe like this

I can see where you are coming from, and the idea is easy enough to do, but technically, the earth will have to be to one side or another of the text, or the text color will be lost.

Example. Light Background. Earth with Light and Dark... Dark text will be lost in the dark parts of the earth, light text will be lost in the light and in the background, unless we go to silver colored textural effects.

Is it possible to have a few more pixels in length to place the earth on one end or the other? say 350 ppi? The background color can easily be made exactly the same as the forum light blue.

I hope that isn't too confusing a question. If so, that's ADD :D

i like the wording of the tag line in high functionings samples and i like the contrast color in the very first submission from high functioning -- bright yellow i think it was.

i wonder how Vik's 2nd submission would look with a conrasting color in the tagline rather than a darker hue.... ?

Wheezie, technically it doesn't look good to place one light color on top of another. If the forum colors contained other colors, it would be different. If I used another color, it could look too much as the earth in the pic has color already.

Overboard is overkill to me. I just did something I thought was a more professional approach than I had done in other entries.

Absolutely lovely new logo! It's a stunner.

Everyday i see it and the more and more i think Viktoria really got the goood idea for it...I really like it .
