I would like to know what other parents use to medicate anxiety in their children. My daughter has ADHD, anxiety and OCD.

My autistic son is on Tofranil but we can't give it to my daughter because she has a heart murmer.

The paediatrician put her on Zoloft (she has been more of a pain in the neck since). My psychiatrist said that Zoloft can make an anxious kid more anxious.

Both my teens are on Concerta which helps them with their problems and makes their counsiling more productive.
I have ADD and OCD and I am on Lexapro and ridalin.
Hope that helps :)

Thanks for your responses. I've managed to get her onto luvox which seems to be working quite well. She actually concentrated to pass her karate grading!

Zoloft is a midline "activating AD with Prozac being most activating and Paxil being most sedating. There are now some wowarnings out regarding p[ediatric use of Paxil. You would also want to stay away from Wellbutrin as it is activating in nature.
