Get Up Again!

Words. So many are words are said, but. . .
the words just slip out and
nothing comes about because the
intention was never there.

It has been said "Talk is cheap."
I want to see some words that are worth their
weight in pennies.

Action. The words we spew out are lived
out in what we do, Not what we say
we will do.
Good intentions shatter and smash in a pile as
the empty promises made never become
real.

Change. "I'll change by and by" is on the edge of
a blatant lie. "Old habits die hard;" they are
wrestled to the floor, shaken off your back, choked and
killed--
crucified.

Words, Action and Change. Failure comes,
then try
again and again and again;
"for though a righteous man falls seven
times, he rises again."

I am a battered man who has
fallen to the floor seventy-seven times
and some more. I'm going to keep getting up
and looking to Jesus to
restore me and give me the strength--
He will pull me out of the sin I do, but
I must desire to change. . . .

So is the message here....that you have to want to change...and you can't just talk about it....that you have to actually take the action...and even if you fail....you have to keep taking the action, and try again??? Is that the message? If not, well, that's what I got out of your very thought provoking poem James...:)
