Probably you frequent used the window of My Computer. With a smart register trick you can expand the functionality to your personal desire. You can add and delete icons.

To do this, follow the next steps:

Open the Registry Editor click on the Start button on your taskbar, then click on Run and type "regedit" and click on OK to start the regedit utility.

Expand HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\Curr entVersion\Explorer\MyComputer\NameSpace


Create a new KEY and choose one of the values below:

{D20EA4E1-3957-11D2-A40B-0C5020524153} for Administrative Tools
{2227A280-3AEA-1069-A2DE-08002B30309D} for Printers and Fax devices
{D6277990-4C6A-11CF-8D87-00AA0060F5BF} for Scheduled tasks

The modifications you made will be in effect after you reboot your PC. This makes getting around your PC far simpler than default. Please back up your registry first! Have Fun! :)

If you don't know how to back up your registry and implement the back up from a boot disc of some sort, I'd avoid doing registry hacks until you can.

You can completely bork your system quite easily accessing this tool. It's fun yes, but do your homework folks.

Winduhs is proprietary software and thus does not provide much documentation for hacking the registry. If you like to geek in this way Linux is for you. If you are really really geeky you should find the "LFS" (Linux From Scratch) crew fun. http://www.linuxfromscratch.org/

Gentoo is also a very cool way to get an operating system tailored to your specific hardware and needs.

Or, by all means, you can get into the windoz registry and have some fun there too, just be careful please.
