I am asking this here as my neurologist is on vacation and my family dr. doesn't seem to understand medicine or pro me taking it.

I was tested a few weeks ago and the neurologist said I have classic untreated adhd.
He put me on concerta 54 mg - I took it for a few days but was not feeling good so I stopped it and took 40 mg ritalin for about a week. Neurologist told me to try the concerta again after a few days.

Yesterday I went back on 54 mg of concerta and when it started wearing off (6-7 hours after I took it) I took 20 mg ritalin.

Is it okay to do that? I am a 200 lb male.
I will ask my neurologist when he gets back but he is away for 1 month and I don't know who else to ask?

Please let me know. I don't want to do anything harmful to my system but I see how these medications really help me accomplish and do what I always wanted to do but had trouble getting there.

( i.e. What is wrong with the Concerta?..... what are peoples experiences of Ritalin vs Concerta...... has anyone been on Concerta with a Ritalin booster etc. etc. )
