Supposedly in the 19th century ocd was referred to as the "doubting disease". This pretty much describes my general thinking perfectly. I can shut that type of thinking down with a ton of effort, so it requires tremendous self-discipline. That doubt can be highly irrational, and pops up randomly.

Anyone else here have similar experiences?

Dunno, tripping an old person right before he/she crosses the street, running off with their bingo bounty. Immoral things that make me feel bad about myself, etc.

Sometimes I let the thought linger, not attaching emotional meaning to it. Can't explain the process necessarily.
