Hey everyone. New to the forums. Thanks for having me! Yay! :D

Anyways, I wanted to talk about how to replace a bad habit when you kick it.

I quit smoking and I feel like I've basically replaced the smoking habit with a drinking one. I took Chantix for a month and half and stopped and suddenly my drinking went waaaaay up, which is unusual for me. I smoked 1 here and there, or maybe 2 at the most, really.

Does anyone have any experience learning how to not replace 1 addiction with another one?

I replaced cigarettes with the e-cig.

I think I'm replacing booze with opiods

unfortunately an addictive personality is something that only major behavior modifications can change.

Is that what you think my problem is - an addictive personality?

And what type of major behavior modifications are we talking about?
