Over the past 6 weeks, I have completely changed my diet, lost some weight and started taking vita nutrients - specifically l-tyrosine, B-Complex (extended release), Magnesium , Folic Acid (another B Vitamin), Taurine, Ester-C (so it does not affect my adderall absorption, and a few other essential fatty acids.
While this diet is not recommended for everyone, I chose the Atkins diet. I was about 25 pounds overweight due to depression, weight gain from Paxil, inactivity, etc.
Anyway, about 1 week into it, my concentration improved dramatically, my weary-dreary spells during the day went away. After a month, I have lost 14 pounds and have never felt better. I am 30 years old, and feel like I am 20 again. There's nothing like it.
Regardless of whether you need to lose weight, or take on an extreme diet like Atkins, I have learned that blood-sugar level plays an important roll in your emotions, food cravings, concentrations, general whose and a plethora of other negative ailments that have adversely affected me for years.
Just my 2 cents, but I figured I would share the experience. I honestly believe that what you eat plays a significant roll in how you feel and how you think.

It's not easy, but the rewards are overwhelming!
