I am now being tested for ADD, my son was diagnosed with ADHD when he was 6, he is now 11 and takes 30 mg of Adderall XR. I am one of those who tried their childs meds (I know its illegal), but what a difference it made in my life! I talked to my doctor and he is sending me to a neurologist in 2 weeks.
My biggest problem right now is, I obviously cannot take the Adderall, and though I only took it a few times, the difference was just unreal and now I am so frustrated that I have to wait so long to get a diagnosis and feel that way again. It is not a physical withdraw or a need for Adderall, it is a need to feel and think the way I did those few days, and I feel so cheated right now. I have done lots of research about self medicating, desperate to find something that will clear my head. I have read about the Sudafed, cannibis, coffee and nicotine, I have 3 Sudafed in my system right now, only minor change noticed, will not smoke the green stuff because I want to feel alive and motivated, not more tired and in "munchy" mode and add a weight problem to my ever increasing chaotic life. Coffe and cigarettes have always gone hand in hand with me, coffee in the left, cigarette in the right.
Now that I have rattled on.....has anyone heard of Attend by Vaxa? Any comments, experiences etc? Here is a link, hope I do this right.

The fact that the website says "no more add" in it.
Makes me doubt the product.
And when you look at the site.
It looks more like they are trying to sell false hope then anything else.
DeltaDawn I'd be interested in hearing if you find out any more about this product.

Delta,
Funny, reading your post made me think of the Desperate Housewives episode where one of the women took her sons ritalyn. Try to see the epi. if you can someday, it will make you laugh.:)I have to say that reading other peoples posts on their response to adderal xr and my own experience with adderal xr is that the first couple of days taking it are described as euphoric and wonderful but after those first days that euphoric feeling is gone :( I too wish that I could feel that way all the time but I guess there just isnt a permanant magical pill. I know nothing about the drug in the link, Im sorry. I think it would be a good idea just to wait for your Drs. appt. and do your research in the meantime on meds, coaching and treatments. Also there are a ton of self diagnosis test on the net that you could take just to get an idea of your symptoms. Good Luck with all.
