The guys in this paper seem to believe that Provigil offers promise in treating ADHD.

I have recently been considering mixing Straterra with Provigil - to see how the combination work vs ADD.

I first read about modafinil because there's a guy here in Cambridge, UK -- you'll find his papers on pubmed -- look for Dowson and Sahakian .. that're seeing good effects on ADD with modafinil/provigil.

Personally -- the thought of mixing the two came about because I feel that Straterra - is a great anti-depressant/anti-anxiety med -- but I feel as though it does nothing for the aspect of my ADD -- which is the feeling of being asleep when awake ........ slow cognitive processes/lethargy-both physical+mental.
Almost as though the wheels in the brain wind down - and I'm sitting with my eyes open - in a state of complete physical inactivity, in the deepest of daydreams.

If you are going to mix Straterra with Provigil you might as well save yourself the trouble and simply take Wellbutrin.

Straterra inhibits the reuptake of norepinephrine. Provigil inhibits the reuptake of dopamine. Wellbutrin inhibits both the reuptake of norepinephrine and dopamine together. It just so happens that these two catecholamines are the main target of Adderall.

Unless, of course, wellbutrin gives one a nasty case of the hives...
