I am freaking out!!!!:eek: :eek: :eek:

I was on the phone with my husband, casually looking out the window, when

I noticed something red and blue moving across the grass in a neighbor's yard.

I thought it was a child's toy...

Then I thought it was a kite...

Then I thought it was a mechanical animal...

But it's a parrot!:eyebrow:

What kind of parrot are they when they are red on the top half of their body, and blue on the lower half???:confused:

It has a yellow beak, from what I can tell. Looks about a foot and a half long.

Poor thing is flapping in the grass...with his wings spread out, as though he is trying to dry them...

Maybe they gave him a bath?...:eyebrow:

He seems unwilling or unable to walk or fly.:(

Geez, I just don't know what is happening some times...

We aquired a yellow parakeet and a lop-eared bunny because the animals escaped their owners and ended up in our yard. You can't ever tell how far they have travelled either.. we tried unsuccessfully to find the original homes for both animals with no luck.

One added note on that parrot you saw. My brother just returned from a trip to Australia. He was telling me that instead of seeing robins, cardinals,and wrens....there are parakeets, parrots, tucans, and other colorful tropical birds hopping around the parks. Isn't that coooL?
