I need to explain to my professor why I missed class this past week, and to my group project partners why I didn't get the film footage to them on time. I am coming up with an explanation of what I'm going to say, little by little, in Microsoft Word. I've copied and pasted it here. Please do not offer any alternative possibilities (i.e., writing an informational letter about my "learning disability," to the school, etc.), as those are not options. Simply give me feedback on what I've written below and suggestions on what I can do to improve it.

I have stopped getting emails from my group members for some reason. I should email them from my other email and inform them what’s up. What to say in the email, I am not yet sure.

you may not like my answer but accept the responasablity that you missed state honestly why you missed it and how it won't hopefully happen again, if you are on honest you don't have to worry about that lie comming back to hunt you by sticking to the lie.

Part of college or anything else you are going to make mistakes if you show them you can admit it and accept the actions from the admitence you may not like thier resolve at the same time it's off your hands and no longer a burdent to you.

I don't know how to state honestly why I missed it...

i would put it like this i had a struggle to the flim on that that given deadline since i couldn't meet the deadline i was freaful of the consenqunces of handing the footage in late. I admit i have a hard time making deadlines I will try my best not to put the group or in my team in situation like that again.

Then maybe ask the group or proff he knows any tips or anything that might help you when can't make the deadline i'm sure this has hapeen b4 in journalism.

The people I was supposed to film only come on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Monday had been very hectic because I'd thought a digital photography assignment was due and was all panicky trying to get it done and put the files on a CD at the last minute. Turns out it's not due until this coming Monday. I had stayed up all night on Monday night playing around with Photoshop for fun, and as a result was very tired all day Tuesday. I didn't go and film that Tuesday because I knew I'd be very incoherent and couldn't think straight. I made the assumption that the students would also be in the newsroom on Wednesday and made plans to go then, only to find out that they didn't work on Wednesdays. And it's a downward spiral from there.

I can't state that I was playing around on Photoshop all night long just because I felt like it.

With add you either hyper focus or don't focus at all like you i stay up late alot sometimes for no reason or adderall induced i will work on something then decide hmm i need a break from this then you end up doing everything but what needed to get done, when i hyper focus everything around me is no exisistant so i don't care sorta speak about sleeping or anything else.

usually when i hyper focus it has to intreast me if it doesn't intreast me no work no paper won't do it instead you do everything but what you were suppose to do in sense it's being absent minded.

no no just state the fact you missed the due date don't say why you missed it unless asked by the proff the point of the whole explation is to basiclly say there really isnt' a good reason that i missed the assignment the fact of the matter is i missed it sorry it happen i'll try not to let it happen again hopefully i will improve from this difficult situation.

She already stated she didn't accept late assignments. She said so all throughout the course...

You weren't just playing around with photshop because you felt like it. You were avoiding your assignment because it caused you a lot of anxiety and discomfort.

I didn't plan well, and once again have waited until the last minute and because of it, failed to do things as they were supposed to have been done. Somehow I have to communicate this across to three people who want to do more than kick my butt.
