Rats ... I wanted to go back and edit what I said but it is too late.

My initial impulse when speaking was trying to buy into the spirit of the poem. I only realize later that what I said could be very offensive to someone whose patriotism is an important part of their outlook. So I apologize for that unchecked impulse and shallow comment of mine to any who it bothers.

I know it's very controversal subject. I am a life patriot.
I love humans, just very reasonably left winged as it is labeled.

Hi, Janine, Always kindness should be be the rule of thumb, politics will have opposing views, that can be counted on . We don't have to agree, but I enjoy the writing. I am sure we have a wide spectrum of political beliefs on this board. I am glad that there are a variety of people posting poetry, my current passion.
