My two sons have ADHD and are on medication - they are never hungry and are losing weight. Any suggestions on how to get healthy calories in them? Any foods/replacements that work? We tried time shifting meals and it hasn't work. They are never hungry. Any suggestions?

thanks!!

I had issues with my son and appetite when he was young one thing that helped was clonidine which was prescribed for sleep and appetite. The other thing was milkshakes. They don't have to be unhealthy. I used really good chocolate protein powder and added ice cream and some syrup. It packed a lot of bang for the buck

Are there any signs that their medication dosage is on the high side? (increased anxiety, dulled personality, difficulty sleeping, overly serious, irritable?)

Adding to Sarah's great suggestion of milkshakes... My son loved smoothies made with frozen bananas, protein powder, probiotic yoghurt and milk with a drizzle of honey. I used to add a big dollop of peanut butter too.

The kids called them Monkey Smoothies.
