The person who is overly obsessive about things, thinks too much, asks for too much clarification (when they aren't afraid to) "over-does" stuff, etc. But yet has problem concentrating while reading, following conversation, very slow to understand, mis-understands people frequently, can't keep up, etc.

Could be both, could be neither. They don't rule each other out. But your description is too short, so nobody can really tell. Are you talking about yourself or about someone close to you? Because if it's someone else, you might be misinterpreting symptoms.

OCD and ADD-PI are two completely different things even though a person can have both.

I'm a combo but I do lean heavily toward ADD-PI and I'm not obsessive compulsive at all.

Actually, your description above doesn't sound much like obsessive-compulsive at all. Just an ADD-PI with maybe high insecurity so isn't secure in their decisions?

I have an ADD diagnosis and have OCPD tendency. I'm a perfectionist, and my obsessions are intensified by both conditions. :giggle:

I have both.

I believe, I developed co-morbid OCD as a bad coping skill for life after being untreated ADHD-PI until I was 45 and finally diagnosed.
