I think we can have a tendancy to think we are not as well off as others because we have the label of ADD, when the truth is EVERYONE has their good times and not so good times.

Pain is universal.

People's moods swing from happy http://fishyvb.something-fishy.org/images/smilies/cheesy.gif, to content http://fishyvb.something-fishy.org/images/smilies/smile.gif, to unhappy http://fishyvb.something-fishy.org/images/smilies/frown.gif all day, every day, for a lifetime. You cannot be happy all the time as happiness requires a balance - sadness.

Some people have moods that swing really high and really low like strong powerful waves of an ocean on a windy day, and some people have moods that are quite stable, like a peaceful pond. And some people have seemingly persistant low moods.

Everyone's different, and yet everyone's the same because we ALL balance out. We ALL experience pain and pleasure to some degree - That's life.

So what can we do to feel better? http://fishyvb.something-fishy.org/images/smilies/confused.gif

http://fishyvb.something-fishy.org/images/smilies/challenge.gif Learn to Accept it - Right Now!!! http://fishyvb.something-fishy.org/images/smilies/bounce.gif

If you feel unhappy simply tell yourself - "It's okay to feel this way. I will feel better soon."

Most of the time you will have about as much a chance of controlling your moods as you would have controlling the weather. That's because many times moods seem to be like 'happenings' that just come and go, like wind and rain http://fishyvb.something-fishy.org/images/smilies/bult.gif, and sunshine http://fishyvb.something-fishy.org/images/smilies/sun.gif.

That's OKAY!, let it happen. Accept it! http://fishyvb.something-fishy.org/images/smilies/smile.gif

Think of your mind as an ocean raging with high waves, and you're riding in a raft in that ocean. You could yell, kick and scream to the clouds "STOP NOW! I DON'T LIKE YOU!" http://fishyvb.something-fishy.org/images/smilies/reallymad.gif Or you could ride the storm using up as little energy as possible, while thinking of how beautiful the http://fishyvb.something-fishy.org/images/smilies/rainbow.gif will be afterwards. http://fishyvb.something-fishy.org/images/smilies/winky.gif

The trick to controlling the way you feel is to simply 'let go' of trying to control it.

Relax, you are fine! http://fishyvb.something-fishy.org/images/smilies/gimme.gif

Lotsa Love

Hi Today's Wonderful, full of happy thoughts!

I have always considered my ups and downs as blessings.

Because...after the down, the high is all the sweeter. I just need to keep myself aware that this is what is happening. I try to take advantage of the downs by doing some necessary introspection and findings of humility. These times bring me down to earth.

I also take a down as an opportunity to create....writing seems to be a good creative outlet for me during the downs, as well as the canvas. Very strange is that these products always show a brightness that must be in my soul somewhere. Maybe that is what drags me out of the blues.

If the blues cause one to become non functioning and deepen into depression, that is another matter that should receive treatment.

The highs are all about me and living life. Exploring the world around me and is the beginning of the creative process....hundreds of ideas and motivation and abundant energy and joy!

I enjoy having night and day and prefer it that way for the most part in every aspect of my life.
