Most of the people who take Concerta or Ritalin say that if they take the drug late in the evening or even afternoon, they can't sleep.

I have the opposite effect. I always had a sleep problem in my life. Most of the time I cannot sleep. After I started this medication (5 weeks ago), I'm able to sleep. Normally I took 36 mg Concerta in the morning at about 10am. Sometimes it is not enough for me to sleep and I take an additional 5 or 10 mgs of Ritalin.

Why do I have this effect and why do others have the opposite?

Unfortunately I have a chest pain and will ask my pdoc to decrease the dosage. If I take a dosage which is a low dosage for me, do I at least see some effects of it or just nothing?
