Some folks might not know what ADHD stands for but when those four letters are used to describe their kid, they know they’ve got to make that one big decision.

Medicate? Don’t medicate? Which route is best?

According to September 2015 statistics offered by the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), 5.9 Million or 9.5% of children ages 3-17 have been diagnosed with Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD). That’s 1 out of every 10 kids!

Says the CDC:
People with ADHD show a persistent pattern of inattention and/or hyperactivity-impulsivity that interferes with functioning or development.

Adhd is a decelipmental disability and not just "behaviours". Denial or minimizing this fact may soothe parents but does nothing for people with adhd.
