In my quest for the most ADD friendly watch, here is what I discovered:

Vibrating alarms are great...much less jarring than electronic beeps. HOWEVER, the 2 vibrating timepieces I tried -- the VibraLITE watch and the Invisible Clock -- had major deficiencies. Both had faces that were difficult to read. More significantly, the vibrating feature on both stopped working after a couple of months!

Feeling desperate, I decided to splurge and order the Watch Minder -- which also offers a vibrating alarm --but waited for months and never received it. When I e-mailed the seller, I was told they were still waiting for it to arrive. Finally, I cancelled my order.

Then I recalled a watch that had been recommended on one of the ADD web-sites: The Timex Ironman Datal Link USB. Looked it up on the Amazon.com website and saw rave reviews. Doesn't vibrate but offers loads of other useful features....AND you can choose the sound alert you want. It is similar to a PDA in that it comes with software that allows you to load it with phone numbers, appointments, etc. off your computer. I like it a lot. My favorite features are the numerous alarms and countdown timers that I use as reminders to begin a task, take a break, or switch over to a different activity.

Hope this is helpful.

My cell phone has a date book which I find helpful; but, will admit to freaking out the first few times it vibrated. I thought there was a bee in my pants or something. lol

I've never willingly worn a watch in my life. But, I hate being late so I find the cell phone useful in many ways and carry it with me at all times. At work I am forced to wear a watch and it feels foreign so I generally break the band off and pin it to my chest with my name tag.

I'm curious if the watchminder can come as a pin or necklace which I find less intrusive and bothersome as a band around my wrist.
