In your opinion, does the category of an individual's sexual preference have an influence on the category of the individual's AD(H)D?

Gender yes. Adhd symptoms can present differently in girls. Sexual preference I doubt has got anything to do with adhd.

Hmm it could see how a mental deviation could have an influence in sexual life. It may result in a more frequent interest in 'adrenalinized' erotica. I'm often interested in anything 'kinky' but hating often pornography for its frequent lack of sensuality is my personality

What is the difference between gender and sexual preference? I was thinking they where the same thing?

Gender is the sexuality of your body - sexual preference is the gender your brain's interested in

Your body however can be one and your brain the other, in which one can be either straight or bi (or whatnot)

This is for how far I'm informed (if misinformed feel free to correct)

I wonder how much learned social factors, verses, biological factors influence differences?

The younger those factors occurred, the more - in my case I still remember certain

Interesting. I appreciate the discussion, I never thought of things that way. I seems like biology and learned social factors both could have a role?

I think You and Fuzzy12 have made some good great points and appreciate the discussion. I am learning and do not clam to be an expert. I did read that there are both external gender/sexual features and internal gender/sexual features in both the body and brain, that can influences individual gender/sexuality. Lots to learn.

Different ages and stages of development definitely need to be considered. Both internal and external biological gender/sexual features begin to be decided in early life (At least). But sexual reproduction does not present naturally til older, example puberty? Correction, better wordings appreciated as well.

I did read that females and males have differences in LUST systems. Guessing that "combinations" (for lack of a better word) of differences between LUST systems, could also exist between the genders/sexuality?

The experts seem to know that biologically humans can be born transgendered.

How does gender (female and/or male) influence AD(H)D, during different periods of development throughout life?

I was honestly wondering about this while driving in to work. (at the risk of outing myself via a google search and keywords), I've always felt somewhat 'in-between' in terms of preference. It's similar to the way I am without ADD meds, in-between focus, unable to fully commit myself to one task. Like my creative tasks (photoshop) with a ton of unfinished ideas, or ideas I never developed), or all the notes I have on my desk, ideas for life tasks or research to conduct, that had yet to make it beyond a point. Perhaps my sexuality is similar, I consider myself bi-sexual, but hetero-romantic. But....The last few years I've found that I've been increasingly torn between the two, so don't really commit to pursuing women. Or, perhaps the options of a different physical outlet satiates that drive a bit.

Left and right half of male/female brains work different together. Homosexuality and/or sexual preferences could be caused by some different cross connections of left/right brain half if you compare it to people writing left or right handed. But overall I think there is no standard and sexuality has as many faces as ADHD itself which is much more complex than its classifications to PI/PH or whatever. So i conclude sexual preferences do not have any influence on ADHD categories ... but ADHD can have an enormous influence on sexual preferences/behavior. Erotic stimulates dopamine a lot and a need for or lack of dopamine very often ends in adrenalized actions and if you are someone who likes to go out to catch fish you can be ADD or ADHD...

Myself I'm quite interested in kink. Vanilla sex never interested me very much. So I think you may have a point. However, n=2 is not really a valid basis for an argument.
