Hey all, I was just down at the public library looking for some books on neuropsychology and its corresponding studies because I'm a freak and for some reason anything with "neuro-" on the front of it intrigues my interest, and I ran across a couple books on ADD. This will probably get moved to the resources section, but I'm too lazy now that I think about it to go and post it there instead! Sorry!

Anyhow... Books, read any of them? Comments?

Answers to Distraction
A.D.D. on the Job
You Mean I'm Not Lazy, Stupid or Crazy?

Then there's my geek books like, Inside the Brain, and Medicine and Mentral Illness: The Use of Drugs in Psychiatry.

I do love neuropsychology, neurophysics, neuropsychoimaging, neurochemistry, neuroanything!

You Mean I'm Not Lazy, Stupid, or Crazy, and Answers to Distraction (not the same as the recently released Delivered from Distraction) are both excellent. I have read them both and recommend them to any ADDer. A.D.D. on the Job, I'm not so sure about, but it has good customer reviews at amazon. :)

If you're into neuro* and psychiatry, I'd definitely recommend the following:

Anything by Oliver Sacks
The Executive Brain by Elkohonen Goldberg
Why We Lie (can't remember the author, but it's new, and you'll find it at Borders or Barnes and Noble in the psychology section for sure.)
Of Two Minds (can't remember the author). This is actually an anthropological study of ... psychiatrists. :P Very interesting.

I am currently reading
Women with Attention Deficit Disorder: Embracing Disorganization and Home and in the Workplace, by Sari Solden
You Mean I am not Lazy, Stupid or Crazy? by Kate Kelly and Peggy Ramundo, and
Delivered from Distraction, by Edward Hallowell and John J Ratey.

All three are very good. I ordered from Amazon and they shipped very quickly. I am interested in exeter's suggestions and may try to find them too!

I found 'All Kinds of Minds' by Mel Levine to be very helpful. It is on learning styles but I was able to get a lot out of it for myself. He breaks down 'attention' into many different aspects which I found very interesting.
