So, the Barr Spansules are out, it appears. Teva bought Actavis and has those listed on their site. And then sold them to Mayne Pharma.

I went to fill my 15 mg Spansules and the bottle said Mayne on them and they were different.

Teva: https://www.tevagenerics.com/product/dextroamphetamine-sulfate-extended-release-capsules-cii

So Mayne Pharma bought rights to them.

Odd. And I don't really have any consensus on effectiveness yet.

Teva/Barr are the same company. I just filled mine yesterday and I got Barr.

Maybe they are making both now. My last batch said Actavis on it.

Teva bought Actavis though:

I am about to fill my new script with Mayne. What do you think of them? Prior to this I have always taken BARR by Teva.

My last monthís worth was Mayne...didnít seem any different one way or the other with the exception of the taste of the gelcap...dissolve any of it on the tongue by accident and... http://www.sympato.ch/smileys/Vomito.gif

Wait crap, no, my new script is MYLAN. Just popped one. So far, my jaw is tight, which is discouraging because this is the same thing that happened on Malencroft or however you spell it. Will NOT take that again.
Anyone else have experiences with Mylan?

So Barr doesn't make IR Dex anymore either?

Just refilled my dex prescription and received Mayne Pharma brand. Did some initial research and it appears they did in fact buy the rights to the Teva/Barr dex line? Anyone have any recent experience with the Mayne spansules that they can share? I won't be starting mine until tomorrow, would like to know what to expect. The Teva caps have been the best I've experienced so far so I'm hopeful, but I also know the chances of the formula being 100% identical aren't guaranteed.

I received the 15mg Barr spansules last month, and they were almost completely ineffective for me. I come to find out that they were several several years past expiration, yet CVS still continued to fill my Rx with them. I am unsure if this is the reason why they were ineffective, but I bet it didn't help.

This month my Rx was filled with Mayne, and they are night and day difference in regards to effectiveness in treating my symptoms. They are definitely not brand name effectiveness, but they are decent.

So its either my expired Barr filled Rx was stale or Mayne modified the formula from what they got from Barr.

I still want to get my hands on the Mallinckrodt version.

I took brand name Dexedrine for about a year, worked great. Took Barr for 5+ years. Didn't work as well, but I tried every other generic & Barr worked best tor me. Last year when they discontinued Barr, I again tried every other generic I could get in my area, but they all either did not work as well, or at all, or gave me bad side effects like jittery, headache, stomachache, harsh come down, etc. I settled for the Mayne because it... bought out Barr. I have had side effects that have not gone away with time. I have to switch to something else because side effects outweigh any benefit. Stomachache, headache, dizziness and worsining chest pain, racing heart. Any information or advice about other generic Dexedrine would be greatly appreciated.

Iíve looked into it and Lineage Therapeutics is the same as brand. Both manufactured by the same facility. Just one is distributed by Amedra (Brand) and another by Lineage (Generic).
