I was dx with add in June 2016.. Approx 6 months ago. I was taking adderall and have built up to 30mg twice a day. I was switched to 25mg XR for a month and it was useless. 3 days ago my Dr. Switched me to vyvance 30 mg once a day. I don't feel like it is working.. If I am tolerant to adderall will I also be tolerant to vyvance? Is my vyvance dose just not enough? Called Dr and haven't gotten a call back yet.

30mg IR = 60mg vyvanse

Why did you go from 30 mg x 2day to 25mg a day?

Now at 30mg vyv you are taking 15mg equivalent adderal

Your doctor is lowering your tolerance by lowering dosage.

How in the world did you get to 60mg a day in just 6 month?

What was your starting dose, how quick was the dosage progression to 60mg?

Your math is incorrect.

If I take 60mg of adderal a day, and I want to switch to vyvanse , what dosage should it be on ?
I'm aware of the difference between those too, but how is it gonna help OP?
Most doctors use 2:1 conversion,I could go deeper too, if I wanted to , but why? We are not discussing vyvanse and adderal chemical composition . Vyvanse is more tricky one to convert, but I'm not a chemist so I use what most doctors recommend.

To achieve base equivalency, the Vyvanse dosage would be 100mg.

Quite simply, clinically-validated, scientifically-accurate information is a better place to start than assertions with no basis in factual, peer-reviewed data.

Was my calculation that much of? You sound as if I was off by 300%
I used this source and used 2:1 for simplicity

The degree is of no consequence. We are talking prescription amphetamines here. That it was off at all is the concern.

You sound as if I was off by 300%

Thatís your call. I simply stated it was incorrect, and made no mention of degree. Iím not sure why you are thinking that way, but so be it.

The calculation is no more (or less) complex when using proper numbers. The answer, however, is more accurate, and helpful, when using them.

Donít make anything more complex than it needs to be, but for sure, donít make anything too simple, either.

How do you divide 3D/1L through 1LIS-a?
I am kind of confused if you calculate only the D of adderall or the D/L?
