The Specialist I went to said I have text book combined type ADD. I won't bore you all with the same diagnosis junk that pops up everytime somone gets in to a shink. I am just ready to move on and maybe add some meds along with some therapy and get my life in shape.

Was today a good or a bad Day? I don't know. On one hand I am accepting that I don't have the will power to make and stick to the changes that need to be made. On the other hand is the possibility that what has happened today could change my life for the better and in the long term.

I guess only time will tell

So you are accepting of it, or are you not. I am a bit confused  with that statement above. I hope yu get help and just think you lived all your life before having it now why should it be that bad now that you just have a bit of knolwege.

Well, I guess I have mixed feelings about it. I am happy to have the diagnosys so I can hopefully improve my life. But in accepting it I also have to admit that I do not have the will power to do what I need to do to be a focused, reliable person.:(

HIXX,

Personally, I think you still have a lot of choices...we are not completely powerless to change things about ourselves and our lives. You may find with medications that this process actually becomes easier and that you have more success! Give yourself some time to adjust to the whole situation, research your options, etc.
