How long does a dose of Concerta last?

I started last week and it seems to last about 10 - 12 hours for me. I have been taking it around 8 in the morning and then about 6-7pm I start getting really grumpy.

I really like it so far.

Before it seemed like all these thoughts were coming into my head at the same time, then going away quickly. I couldn't remember stuff, I was confused and anxious.

It seemed like it worked from the first day. My brain focuses on one thing at a time, my mood is good, I have been getting a lot of work done and it's not as frustrating. That part is great.

I think the side effects for me have been a low-grade headache and the grumpiness/irritation in the evenings.

Concerta lasted from about 8 AM to 5 PM for me, although I started feeling it taper off a couple of hours before that. My aftereffects were pretty much the same as yours with grumpiness and irritability.

are either of you on wellbutrin with the concerta?

No I was just on Concerta. Now that I'm pregnant I'm not on anything!:eek:

(Actually I'm doing okay so far -- I'm still seeing a therapist and have learned some non medication approaches which are helping -- especially exercise and relaxation breathing).
