Focalin XR has recently (May '05) been approved for treatment of adult ADD, basically a long acting (8 hrs) ritalin. It has about twice the potency of regular ritalin, so is recommended to be given at half the usual ritalin dose, if someone is already on ritalin. Anyone tried this, or the regular Focalin? I was hoping for a longer lasting ritalin, mostly to keep my doc happy, but the max recommended dose is 20mg/day. Hope I am posting in the correct spot. Thanks
