Do you ever play hooky?
Every school year I give my children one "sick and tired day".
When the going is rough and they are burned out, if they have been good about homework and responsibility........they are allowed this one day to be "sick".
I write them an excuse...."Mrs. Keeling, please excuse my child and allow him to make up any missed work. He was sick and very tired."
sincerely, gourmet
Do you ever allow yourself a "sick and tired day"?
Do you ever play hooky for the sake of your "mental health"?
What is grown up hooky?
If you are a grown up, there is nobody to write a note that will excuse you from your job, the marriage, tending to kids and animals, and the car pool just to be "sick and very tired".
If you write me a note, I will write one for you. :D
You can stay home and do something frivolous.
I don't know ....like sleep late, watch talk shows, don't answer the phone, go out to lunch or order take out......just self indulge and relax.
"Sit out"
Sounds kind of selfish doesn't it?
But I think sometimes a 'play' day can be just the "right medicine". (heehee)
It sure works for my boys. :)
Do you ever play grown up hooky? And why..... and where do you go......what do you do?
