WOW!!!

You've really changed the way I look at old junk. Seriously, Doug has tried to get me into conservation saying I would like it as much as building new pieces and when I look at something I just see old trash but those pieces are beautiful, I especially loved the clock. :D

Guess I'll be checking out a new topic at the library this weekend. I needed another hobby, right?!!!! :faint:

Cherity , I'll show you a pic later when I get it of a piece I pulled from the trash. I often see funiture along side the road and can glance at it and see potential or not. The wife hates it LOL

DaveHawk those pieces are amazing! :)
What a great job you did bringing them back.

I bought a half moon table at a garage sale for 4 bucks.
The legs were falling off and it had this thick black paint peeling off it.
Everyone had a good laugh calling it ready for the garbage.
Now after fixing the legs and making the table sturdy again.
And putting a beautiful wood stain on it.
I get compliments on that table all the time.

It's a lot of fun finding something like that.
And restoring it to how it once was.
I'm always on the look out for things like that at the Flea Market here.

I'm looking for one of those old wooden shipping suitcase things. I want to redo it and make a cute coffee table out of it.

I know their not pricey the problem is finding one that the owner if willing to let go of it. You have to admit their cool, no one wants to give theirs up I even offered one girl $200 for hers and she turned me down.
