I was just wondering what exactly is ADHD inattentive type? I thought the H meant hyperactivity, can you be hyperactive and inattentive at the same time? IT seems to me the inattentive means kind of low energy which is what I see in myself and my son-any help is appreciated, thanks

Thanks for the threads, Scuro, and I think I am also SCD-AKA the spacey type, but why don't they respond well to stimulants, I thought I would, cause when I take ephedrin, I do so much better, think clearer, have like a purpose and a focus, just curious. thanks. Sometimes I am called a "sleeper" too.

The Spacey ones do respond to stimulants, just not as predictably as regular ADHD. I'm quoting of the top of my head so don't hold me to this but the range of response to stimulants for ADHD is 70 to 90 % for SCT ( Spacey ) it is around 50% or less?

I don't know the SCD-AKA acronym. You must have read all of those threads, lol. If it is from Amen, it is not a generally accepted term, neither is SCT but that is the acronym you see used in journals. Offically it is ADHD inattentive subtype.

Sorry Scuro-

My mind was just racing through, when I wrote that, I meant SCT-can't remember very well short term, but thanks that is helpful, cause I am familiar with AMEN-my mom has told me that I need to be on Adderall from what she read-one of his books-she is a teacher and had to apparently go through some training for ADD, so that convinced her what I was-thanks so much for your time.
