I've come to another realization as a social hermit. My first impression of somebody will often make me think they're someone they're not. I won't know I have a false image of that person in my mind until I actually get to know the person.

Ive always been lucky to have a good ability to get an idea of what people are like with first impressions. Now, I am not some God but I am rarely wrong. I truly believe it has to do with my hunches. Not that I am psychic per se, but I am one of those people who just gets feelings about people that always seem to turn out to be right. Its good because very rarely am I taken in by someone who isnt what they say they are. Before I got sober I thrived more on that chaos and drama of having unhealthy relationship skills and was wrapped up more in other people's business. That was when I ignored my red flag detector but i knew even then that I was ignoring it.
