Do you sign off your messages with one or more x es? I never really knew about this convention till recently. Initially I thought it's silly but now I think it's the best thing ever since the dawn of the handshake.

It just instantly makes anything preceding it look friendly and warm. It's like using a dozen smileys but not so silly (I hope).

So yeah I love it. I only use it with people who use it with me but I wish everyone signed off using x es.

x's mean kisses. o's are hugs. (At least, that's the convention I learned)

For that reason, I don't tend to use those as sign-offs except with people I'm very close with.

I know many people who use x's more casually, though, and if someone signs off on something that way, I may respond in kind.

Very rarely. As Nam-Namz said, X=kisses as far as I've ever known, and that'd just be rather awkward coming from me lol.
I've also always thought X's and O's were more of a romantic gesture...though the few times I do use them, they're generally meant in non-romantic ways. Or me just being silly...like how much I love Midnightstar's Tigsy and Eb-Ebs XoXoXo hehe <3.

I INSTANTLY fell in love with e-(((hugs))) though as soon as I found out about them years back (before these forums).

...You know...for as much action, explosions, kick a** vehicle chases, pretty women, awesome dudes, and over the top stunts as this movie had...I sure did find it boring!!
Granted, having ADD doesn't help (I often drift off into daydreams/lala land/oblivion while trying to watch movies/tv)...but my goodness was the story dumb haha (IMHO of course!).

No, I am not.

That said, I use the single red heart in FB Messenger so my sweetie gets a burst of a dozen bubbling hearts which is our “sign” of the end of that chat.

If I want to communicate a hug or a kiss, I do it like this:

*kiss*

I didn't know what o was about. I never use x unless it's in a word that happens to have that letter in it.

Seeing "x" on the end of everything can give me the creeps, depending on who did it and the context.
