I've been on Adderall for almost 3 years now as an adult. It works and there hasn't been any tolerance build up or anything like that.

Because my perspective has changed so much since I've been on it, sometimes I wonder if I could exist without it but when I go off it for a few days I remember that it also works as a mood stabilizer for me, and I remember life before this med which was a struggle.

Is Adderall (or any of the family of meds) something you can stay on indefinitely, like people do with antidepressants?

I plan on taking it forever because adhd never goes away. I have been on stimulants for over 13 years and its been going great overall. I am treated for bipolar II as well so without that I would be lost.

You can take it forever! Enjoy :)

Don't you love it when the universe treats you well?

(AKA you can treat your ADHD for however long you like)
