Hi, doc switching me from Ritalin (sometimes Concerta) to Adderall XR.

When I take Ritalin I take 10 to 15mg IR 5 or 6 times a day. (It only lasts about 90 minutes for me)

When I take Concerta it's 54mg at 7AM. It doesn't last more than 5 or 6 hours, and is very uneven -- sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. When it does work, the therapeutic effect lasts 5 hours, but the insomnia lasts 12.

Starting 10mg Adderall XR. Doc says go up to 20 after a day or 2. Do I need to taper Ritalin at the same time, or just switch?

Any thoughts on dosages, effects, etc? I'm also on Estradiol Cypionate weekly injections and monthly Lupron injection, tamsulosin and biotin.

Thanks!

Wendy

You can just switch, but I am not a doctor, so to be sure you are being compliant, talk with yours.

Cheers,
