I was on Strat for a while (6 months or so) and hated it, but my question is if anyone has experienced strange liver enzyme levels? Out of the blue I had some odd blood numbers and have just gone through a liver biopsy with a diagnosis of NASH - non-alcoholic hepatitis (fatty liver) with no risk factors. Has anyone experienced anything similar? I'm on Ritalin LA now and have had wonderful results (last year or so and going strong).
Strattera does, indeed, have a warning about possible liver damage. However, it generally goes away after stopping the medication. I doubt your condition has anything to do with Strattera. Here is a useful page on non-alcoholic steatohepatitis: http://digestive.niddk.nih.gov/ddiseases/pubs/nash/ .

Yes, I have had the same exact incident.
My liver panel has come back indicating slighty abnormal liver results.
They ran a plethora of tests against my body, including a CT scan, etc. etc. Eventually, they figured that the spleen was enlarged, and that there are fatty deposits in my liver.
The other inherent issue in my case is that I also have an upped hemo count, so there is concern it may be something else. I am going in for a bone marrow biopsy this week, so I should get the results of that soon.
My concern is with long term liver damage. Is the Strattera side effect on the liver a temporary issue, or is this something that I should seriously consider not taking if the rest of my tests come back normal?
I would definitely consider stopping the medication if your tests show any sign of liver injury.
