Mt little girl is 7 gonna be 8 in a few weeks and she has ADHD severly with sleep insomnia.She has been on concerta since age 5 but they keep increases the dose,she was on concerta 72 mg,clonidine 0.3 mg and trazadone 50 mg for bedtime.She has always been this little girl whom loved people to the point it scared me,once they increased her concerta to 72 mg she got to the point she was terrified BAD of people she would scream bloody murder if strangers even came within 10 feet of her,she didnt even wanna go outside and play like a little girl does.I took her to a child psyh docot and she cut back her concerta to 36 mg and gave ritalin 10mg for 11 am and 4 pm ,its only been 2 days but i really hope this works.Any advice.Thanks so much!!!

Have you asked your daughter why she is so terrified of BAD people?

When did this behaviour start?

She says that the people stare at her,and she dont like it.Thats all she tells us,its all knew to her to be this way.Hopefully the med change will help her and i have her in theraphy.

When my daughter's dose was uped to 72mg of Concerta she flipped out about bugs. Always scratching and would not go outside at all. Her psych. decided to change it to 27 mg. in the morning and 18mg at noon. We tried the ritalin at 11 and 4 and decided it was better for school to go with 2 concerta doses.
I hope your daughter is doing better. Just wanted to share a similar experince with you.
