I go to my dr on wednesday and I plan to talk to him about my adderall. It is keeping me from being lethargic on the couch all day but it really doens't do much for my mental clarity or focus. I was given a few Metadate cd 20mg from my neighbor who's daughter has adhd to see if they did anything for me because I don't want to talk to my dr and think they would be something that worked, get a prescription for them, pay to have it filled and then see that the adderall actually did more for me.

My question is this? If I take it this morning and it doesn't do anything for me, can a take some adderall too? I take 90mg of instant release adderall (30mg three times a day) I know it is a huge amount but it is what we found worked for the fatigue. I can still need a nap during the day with that dose. I would only take a small amount with the metedate but I am wondering if it is ok to mix them. I have a busy day and can't afford to not get anything done today.

My psych dr told me that he sometimes has people mix add medications so I am wondering if anyone has ever had this combo?
