Does anyone know which pharmacies carry the name brand or a generic other than Barr? I can't find the name brand anymore. Walmart and Eckerd no longer stock it  and CVS can order it but it takes them a few days. I need to get my prescription filled this weekend and do not want the Barr again! It just does not work as well for me. Thanks!

I get my prescription filled at Rite-Aid, and it is always the Eon labs version, with a trianglular E on it. I have never asked or specified a specific brand, so I assume this is simply the brand that they use. When I had to get my prescription refilled in California, the pharmacy there also used the Eon labs version.

While many people have mentioned differences in brand, in theory this should not happen. Amphetamine is amphetamine is amphetamine, unless it's bought on the street containing g_d-knows-what impurities or cuts. 10mg pharmaceutical-grade amphetamine salts should be the same regardless. If there are differences between various brands, it is possible that some labs may be guilty of violations of FDA regulations. Since one needs an FDA license...and I believe also a DEA license to manufacture C-II drugs like amphetamines, this would be a Very Bad Thing for Barr if they are violating regulations.

i get my brand name adderall from costco pharmacy...and they usually carry brand name...but u have to make sure that u ASK for it...and stress the fact that u really want brand name...

my doctor marks "Do not substitute" on the prescription and that forces the pharmacy not to fill mine with generics...but again my doc says there isn't much difference between generic and brandname...just because of my insurance co-pay is the same for both regardless...that's the reason i want brandname

I always get my brandname adderall from from walgreens, they've never given me generic. It also could have something to do with your health insurance.

I always get asked if I want generic or brand name.

I get non-Barr meds at Rodman's and Giant pharmacies, but I don't know if you have either of those in your area.

I don't know if this is possible, but maybe you can fill your script at a hospital pharmacy. They might have a larger selection.
