Hey Garry,
I am sure you are glad to get home after that time frame and route. Oh and Joan that is what I travel to get to Ct....about 500 miles. It takes me 10 hrs. usually...and don't stop too often cause the trip is long enough...glad there are lots of nice reststops in Vt tho'...you don't have to get off the beaten path too often that way...I have been known to get lost..lol..;)

Average of 50 miles an hour * 10 hours

2-3 hours for unloading , loading and stuff

leaves 8-10 hours a day to sleep , eat, shower

Joan..yeah he probably wishes they did.

But if he is like my hubby who used to burn those type of miles, it's a shower and meal at a truck stop and sleep in the sleeper on the Rig.

Yea its called THE Kenworth Suite and its located at the closest truck stop you can find.

The food is good and lots of it (but its pricey)
The showers are modern and clean and free when you fuel up there

and the bed which is in the truck is Air Conditioned , with a good stereo, a fridge , a tv , my portable computer, and internet acess at most truck stops,

but it sure ain't home
