As we all become aware of our ADD or ADHD and it's many components I suspect we also have the keen ability to pick out other people we suspect have ADHD - some obvious - others possibly. Anybody for a game of people "like us" ?!!!
I'll go first.......
Jack McFarland and Karen Walker!

I think the majority of amazingly successful people have ADHD, and have simply hyperfocused on their careers, pushing them ahead of anybody else.
But in terms of examples...
Robin Williams and Jim Carrey (two of my idols). :D
Here is a serious question in a just for fun thread
How would one go about contacting robin williams and Jim Carrey
via email or letter
Jim carry has a cottage 15 miles from my home
open to any suggestions

Hmmm... I think if you send a message to the company that made their last movie, it would get forwarded to the celebrity in question...

Agree Paul with your choice of comedians...especially Robin Williams.....I mean can this guy act or what????
My favorites: Good Will Hunting, Mrs. Doubtfire, and of course the old Mork and Mindy TV show....

My (current, possibly naive) view is that AD(H)D is one end of a scale - people don't have it or not, they have it more or less. That said, I realize that the condition may have some distinct causes which are present or not, and the distiibution across the scale is probably not very even, with definite bunching and sparser patches.
Although I agree with Paul in imagining many successful people to have ADD (a higher proportion than in general), I doubt whether it's anything like the majority. As we know, ADD can make it rather difficult to translate potential into concrete success.
LostandFound, I know what you mean about seeing ADD around you, once you know about it. Thinking back over my life I can think of a few probable ADDers (though probably not many cases as clear cut as mine!).
I agree about Robin Williams - actually I was watching him in a film a few days ago and thinking he might have ADD too.

Robin Williams and Jim Carey definitely get aThumbs-up. I loved Robin Williams in "Patch Adams" and "Flubber" and Jim Carey was great in "Bruce Almighty', and "Liar, Liar" Those 4 movies had me ROFL! Ditto for Goldie Hawn in "Cactus Flower", "Private Benjamin", and "Overboard". But I don't think she's ADD Just very very funny. Wonder about Joann Whorley, Lily Tomlin, and Carol Burnett being AD{H}D? They certainly fit the criterion with their hilarious mad-cap, creative ways. :D :D :D

Seems to me that Carlos Mencia and George Carlin are loaded with ADHD :D. Interesting that we are all discussing comedians....
