I want everyone here who here to list their accomplishments related to college!!

Is there something you did that surprised the daylights out of you?!!

Did anyone graduate?

Pass a class you never thought you'd make out of alive?!!

What are you proud of?!

I will start :D

I just re-started working towards a masters in Applied Behavior Analysis. I was in a horrible, non-supporting program last fall, so I quit.
This summer, I started at a wonderful new university!
Summer classes are hard, only 8 weeks long and very intensive. I'm almost done with it (on Friday night I will be)!

I am doing better in this class than I ever dreamed! I am so proud of all my hard work! Now I know what I am capable of and confident that my career goal is attainable!

I used to work hard, hours and hours on end it wouldn't amount to much (pre-adderall and pre-confidence).

Now, I study and I retain! It's amazing! Anyone want to learn about behavior analysis, legal and ethics?! :D

Please, everyone! Don't be shy!

Share your accomplishments!

I graduated with my AS as the "best in my major" (highest GPA and overall acheivement) I got a plaque and all with my GPA printed on it... and got to stand up in front of everone... and had a meet and greet brunch with the Deen and all... on top of that I was awarded Outstanding Senior because of the help I give other... got a plaque for that too... my paper (degree) is not hung on the wall yet, but those plaques mean more to me than the stupid paper saying I made it through :D

now if I could just get my act together at my new school  ...

after spending almost my entire school career being told that i was not a good student and would never be, i went back to get a certificate as a medical assistant. not only was i a good student, i made the honor roll, dean's list and was inducted into the national honor society! talk about a boost to one's ego..... :D

I raised my GPA from a 2.9 to a 3.6 in two semesters.

I will be performing Kreisler's "Praeleudium and Allegro" (a difficult, showy violin solo piece in the style of Paganini) as part of my senior recital.

I wrote a jazz tune, complete with chord changes. I used to have an awful time understanding theory, so I got a tutor and now I can understand!

I wrote music with my band that I am insanely proud of.

I am teaching myself to play the accordion and learning really quickly!

My violin playing has become a lot more detail-oriented and precise since I have started treatment for ADD. Being able to focus and work on a problem without being frustrated has made a world of difference in my playing and schoolwork. My parents always told me that I am smart, but now I finally FEEL like I'm smart and I'm really proud of myself.

I'm still in school...that should be enough

I managed to get a really good summer internship.

I'm killing it at work/internship, and my bosses want me part time during school.

I can sit at the back of classrooms, not take notes, skip half of my lectures, and still make the "good smart kids" look dumb in tutorial by uttering one sentence.

I made it through knee rehab and can ski/run again, even though one surgeon told me that walking alone would be a challenge.

A friend of mine and I are heavily involved in the creation of a 'zine, which is turning into a great creative outlet for me.

Have I mentionned that I'm still in school? :)

I was in college almost 3 years before I was diagnosed and treated. I lost my scholarship from high school (that I barely got), I was put on academic probation, then suspension where I was notified that if I didn't make at least a 2.5 GPA for the Spring 2005 semester, I would not be allowed back. Shortly after that notice, I was diagnosed and treated. I ended up with a 3.75 GPA for the spring semester, which brought my horrible cummulative GPA up to 2.016. I am so very proud of myself and everyone else who is improving and succeeding scholastically despite ADD/ADHD. I am anxiously awaiting the fall semester which begins August 22nd!

Congratulations, on all of your accomplishments.:D It's a great feeling, knowing how much you have achieved, even though you have ADHD or ADD.

bcaddkid and AngieBaby - -

Congrats! You should both be so proud!

Angie - - I had a similar experience, diagnosed summer before senior year, had to get my GPA up, it was a tough road. Good for you!

Since, I have a new doctor he wants to "Officially diagnose" me himself. He doesn't believe the depression label belongs. So, I still have to do that before school starts. But,

I beat the pants off my sister!!! We just got our COMPASS scores back and I kicked the liven daylights out of her especially in math.

And she took all her high school math courses at college because she WAS advanced. When she looked at my scores then looked at me like WTF and I smiled. It felt good after my high school years of struggling with math and she would come by and pat me on the head and say "someone has to be the family retard". VENGENCE IS MINE!!!!!!!!! sayeth the little sister. :D :D

Doesn't help much to be the family genius and not retain anything.

OK OK anyways I am all enrolled and start classes the 22nd of Aug. I got my cyllibus for math and A & P I yesterday so I have my first 8 assignments for math done-I just need for school to start so I can start taking my tests.

I took more notes in a week than I did all of my last semester at school. Granted, I did only take about 12 pages of notes that week, but it's still an improvement.
