Ok so i have been out of work for 2 days with a abcessed tooth. Everyone at work has had to pick up my work load. but thankfully its been very slow. I have almost quit my job once for personal attacks on me from someone who thinks they were my boss(and he wasn't) since he decided that calling me a moron infront of people i work with was ok!! and i'm a moron because i didn't do things "his way". This happened in the middle of july. I got very angy(most of adhders know the feeling of "volcanic anger") and i kept my cool(took a lot) and let my boss know i was being disrespected at work and that it was prob best to go our seperate ways(i didn't point fingers because i didn't want to get him in trouble, we were friends before this). Eventually things got better and i was able to take back my 2 week notice, my boss was more then happy to keep me on line.
However today, i had another incident of personal attacks. It takes about 60 seconds to cook the meat for our smoked meat sandwich. So the bill comes up and i throw the meat in the nuke and head down to the salad station to see if the new salad girl need a hand. i must have took 4 steps before this individual decided to start yelling out "wheres that smoked meat sandwich, the burger with it is done", but this was said very rudly and made me look like i was slacking or not doing my job(infront of customers and employees). I didn't think this was right so i told him it takes time to cook the meat, he didn't care. This got me mad and so i just decided to ingore it and let it go(while he made stupid comments about me), i didn't wanna give into my impulses. I kept doing my job, and during our lunch rush(i work in a kitchen btw) 23219 bills come up on the printer at once. I organise my bills, call whatever i need to call to the salad station and the fryer station also while doing the stuff required of me. I missed one sandwich, called the turkey club, it takes about 15 seconds to make(i have 99% of my station pre-preped and ready to go, makes my life ALOT easier) and wannabe boss boy wanders over(at the moment i was covering for the salad chic because she got 10 new orders and was way behind, she got dessert orders witch are TOP piority= stop doing salads and do desserts) and gets all mad and starts making the club. I walk over to him and ask if he was missing a club and offer to do it but i got nothing but attitude back. I got even more ****ed but i held my cool. So i go on working, things get a little hairy so i start hyperfocusing, wannabe boss boy starts calling out "i need 2 mins on that small pizza", i hear this but am falling farbehind so i give him a quick reply and keep working. Then i got called a "moron" agian, loud enough for the customers and employees to hear, what for i dunno but it was the last straw. I told him he was a sack of ****, my adrenaline got pumping and i was about this close || to walking over to him and kicking his ***. But i thought about the customers and how it would make the company and myself look. I called "offline and i'm not comming back", i walked to the back of the kitchen where i paced around in a rage before calming myself down enough to talk to the GM. I tried to explian what happened and he let 2 sentences out before he walked away saying he'd find out what happened and we would talk about it(he didn't take me serious). I waited for about 15 mins before i went into the bathroom/changeroom to calm down some more(my body was pumped). I wait for about 20 mins before the chef walks in and tells me i'm fired. He didn't want me to go, but the gm has the control and so i had to go. He tried to change the gm's mind but he wanted me gone, apparently because i missed 2 days(i gave them doctor notes for my absence) and because i walked offline. I think i did the right thing by trying to talk things out and by cooling down, afterall i know myself the best. i think the gm made a mistake by not even trying to get a understanding on the situaton.
