i just was given strattera by my psych doc in addition to the adderall. they are re-adjusting my meds since my mental breakdown two months ago. i currently take adderal IR 10mg QID, strattera 18mg, soon to be 25mg QD, Clonazepam .5mg BID, xanax, BID prn, and lexapro 10mg QD, which is temporary til i get out of my mild depression. they wanted to give strattera a try with me to try and mimic the effects of wellbutrin, since i am allergic to it and had the best results. any feedback would be helpful. one thing i did notice in the past three days is that i am figiting less, which is good. all my meds are being monitored through a partial program that i go to three days a week and see the doc each day i am there, so they are closely watching me. again any feedback would be great!

I'm on 100 mg., Strattera, 10 Mg. Addrerall, 10 Mg. Lexapro and 30 Mg. buspar.

Works great. The Strattera takes a loooonnngggg time to get going though and the first few weeks can be a little heavy on side-effects. For me it was disturbed sleep patterns mostly.

I take 25 Mg Adderall XR in the AM, and 80 Mg Strattera at bedtime. I used to take the Strattera in the AM before my doc put me on Adderall, but I would get too sleepy to drive. The Adderall keeps me alert all day and I function better than ever, and the Strattera fills in the hours after the Adderall has worn off. Strattera helps my insomnia a bit, and works much better than the anti-depressants they used to have me on. I also used to take Klonopin. It caused a lot of depression in me and was very difficult to quit because I had been on drugs like it for 20 years. Before we discovered I had ADHD, they thought I just had Generalized Anxiety Disorder.

Currently at 60mg of Strattera in the morning and was taking 10mg of Adderall XR in the morning. Also taking 10mg of Lexapro in morning. I just stopped taking the Adderall because I noticed I would get fidgety in the afternoon when the second dose of Adderall XR stated to kick in. So I stopped just to see if I was less hyper. One thing I noticed was I would really start to bounce my legs a lot and constantly want to have something in my hand to play with. I am going to move up to 80mg of Strattera in the next month or two.

Adding to my post. Since I have stopped taking the Adderall, I get very sleepy around 3:00pm. To the point where I can't keep my eyes open and constantly yawn. I have also noticed I am not as socialable (sp) and more withdrawn. This is a common feeling that others have reported. I am also forgetting things now. Like taking my medicine. I am going to give it some more time and see how things go.

here is an update:
i am up to 50mg of strattera daily in the am, along with all the other meds. i am tolerating the strattera very well so far, no horrible side effects i initially feared. the only thing is that i have no appetite what so ever, i just eat a bit so i dont get dizzy. i was like that when i was on cymbalta and adderall together. helped me loose 60 lbs since feburary with out any exercise...bonus side effect!!! i seem to be less figity than before and my skin picking has decreased. i will update once i get up to 80mg which will be in a week or so.

I just started Strattera today as well. Started off at 25mg, and will be going up to 25mg bid in about 2 weeks. Will adjust as need from there. First dose of Strattera didn't seem to do a whole lot, except that I don't notice my Adderall as much.

Here's my little cocktail, lol: 20mg Lexapro, Adderall 10mg TID, Strattera 25mg, Trazodone 50mg (for sleep).

Wish me luck ;)

Great news. You really won't feel anything immediately with the Strattera.

Give it time.

Timh, what part of Ohio are you from? I just moved here from North Olmsted (suburb of Cleveland), but I grew up in the Columbus area.
