I am pleased to be joining your section and look forward to getting to know everyone.

Here's a bit about myself:

I was diagnosed with inattentive ADHD and depression when I was 21 years old. I am now 27 and a verbal behavior therapist for kids with autism.

Some fun info:
I love to sing, play guitar, read books, make crafts, hang out with my friends and family, watch movies (haven't done much of that lately with school) and listen to music. Music is a big part of my life.

The CD playing in my car stereo at this moment is: Black Eyed Peas' new CD, Monkey Business and Pulp Fiction or The Sweetest Thing is in my DVD player.

Hi Courtney! I'm Robin. I'm 17 and live in Japan. I have inattentive ADHD but I haven't been able to find a place to get diagnosed here.

Very nice to meet you, Robin! What's it like living in Japan? I've never been there!

Autism is a neurological developmental disorder. Like ADHD, the cause is unknown. It's a spectrum disorder, because the impairments and gifts vary from person to person. However, each person diagnosed with autism has impairments to varying degrees in: communication, social relationships, and restricted and repetitive patterns of behavior. Other possible symptoms include lack of play skills, difficulty regulating the senses, lack of attention.
