Cancel that, there is one only 4 hours away in Duluth Minnesota. Even that's a pain in the butt. :( :( :(

Yes, Meetup is a free service. Some venues pay Meetup to be listed and to help coordinate events. (Note: We NEVER force a Meetup to be at a particular venue. Meetups only happen at places that the people vote for.)

I'm not sure if Canada is different Paul..maybe you will just have to move to Australia.

Well we finally had an actual meetup in our area after months of cancelled attempts we finally got five people to confirm and it went very well. I'm not one to go meeting strangers like that but really it was just like in here: lots of "oh do you ever feel like.... yeah...." There was a sixth person who signed up but didn't show & we think that was the secret salesperson organizer who chose the location (a cafe)... from what I see above the cafe paid to be listed. We decided to continue with the meetup thing to get more people involved though we will likely meet at one of the participant's place.

The group included myself and another 40-year old guy who is 8 years diagnosed, a 25 year old lady who finally came out of denial from an ignored childhood diagnosis, a 50ish entrepeneur recently diagnosed and another australian lady who is a homeopathic medicine practicioner... just moved here a few months ago. And we got along great for the most part. It was nice to see real flesh & blood ADDers!

Paulbf, where in California was your meeting? I'm in San Jose....
